Equifax Recognized as Google Cloud Customer of the Year for Third Consecutive Year

FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR, Equifax was recognized as Google Cloud Customer of the Year at this year’s Google Cloud Next ‘23 event. Equifax was honored in the Financial Services and Talent Transformation categories. 

Next is Google Cloud’s annual conference geared towards customers, developers, and cloud experts, and this year Equifax was a featured participant.

The recognition for Talent Transformation is one of the many success stories of the Equifax Cloud transformation. The team completed over 1,000 Google Cloud certifications, which enabled employees to grow their skills and take on new challenges as Equifax completes its cloud journey. With the Google Cloud Certification content available, technologists can master evolving best practices for securely building in the cloud. Not only does the program allow Equifax employees to gain new skills, but it builds morale, as more than 50% of the employees surveyed said they feel more connected to Equifax. 

“We designed a world class learning program to bring even more breadth and depth to our Cloud-native, Product-led workforce,” said Bryson Koehler, Chief Product, Data & Analytics and Technology Officer at Equifax. “I’ve always said that Tech Transformations are 90% people and 10% technology and we have been able to transform our workforce with our approach to continuous improvement of our skills. This has enabled our team to grow their talents and take on new challenges as we leverage the Equifax Cloud for growth.”

A key indicator of engagement is participation in learning programs. In 2022, members of the technology team participated in 140,000+ hours of training including 80+ live training sessions. Plus, specializations within the Google Cloud Certification program allow technologists to develop new applications, design APIs, and create business value with data.

In addition to being honored with the Talent Transformation and Financial Services Awards at Google Cloud Next ‘23, several Equifax subject matter experts  were featured speakers  in learning sessions:
