How does the Family Plan work for minors?

In order to enroll a minor child in Family Plan, you must be the parent or legal guardian of the minor child in question. By providing your minor child's name, social security number and birth date, we will search for an existing Equifax credit file in their name. If one does not exist, we will create one (at Equifax only) and place a Credit Report Control Lock on the new file and begin monitoring for any activity. The primary adult member will receive a credit monitoring alert with respect to any activity regarding the minor child's credit file.
