Tip of the Month: Setting your Alerts

As a feature of three-bureau credit monitoring subscriptions, you'll receive alerts notifying you of key changes to your credit files at the three nationwide consumer reporting agencies within 24 hours after they happen! If you receive an alert that seems suspicious, you can take immediate action. Best of all, customizing your alerts to fit your needs is easy.

To access and change these preferences, simply log into the Member Center and find the “Credit Watch Alerts” section under the Credit Watch tab. From here, you can see what sort of changes to your credit file would result in an alert.

You can also set up your alerts to notify you if your charge card balance increases by a certain dollar amount or percentage. Additionally, you can choose to be notified if a dormant card suddenly becomes active. You may also set your preferences to receive wireless alerts whenever key changes occur. With customized alerts, you're sure to be able to respond quickly to potential signs of identity theft.
