How do I take myself off Marketing Lists?

  1. How do I take myself off marketing lists?
  2. How do I opt out of receiving marketing e-mails from Equifax?

Why are my Electoral Roll details only receiving a 'good' risk signal?

The Direct Marketing Association's Preference Services lets you opt out of receiving unwanted messages by email, post, phone or fax. The law and various codes of practice say that organisations can't send you direct mail if you've opted out.

Here are some services you can register with:

  • The Baby MPS to opt out of receiving baby-related mailings if you've lost your baby
  • The Telephone Preference Service to opt out of sales and marketing calls
  • The Fax Preference Service to opt out of unwanted sales and marketing faxes to your home or business
  • The Email Preference Service (a global service managed by the DMA in the US) to opt out of receiving unwanted sales and marketing emails
