Why are my Electoral Roll details only receiving a 'good' risk signal?
A 'good' risk signal is actually the best you can get for electoral roll details. There's no such thing as excellent.
When will my Electoral Roll details be updated?
As soon as we have your electoral roll registration details from your local authority, we'll update your records. This could take up to six weeks from when they're published.
Here's a schedule to let you know times of your electoral roll registration, publication and when we'll be able to update your report. Please bear in mind that these are only guidelines and could change.

Electoral Roll details are incorrect at my current address?
You'll need to contact your local authority directly to check that you're registered. If you've had confirmation of your electoral roll details, please attach them to the query form you send us.
If you've only recently registered, you don't need to do anything. Your local authority will let us know and we'll put the details into our records. This can take up to six weeks from when you register.

I have recently moved address, how do I update my file?
We take all our address information from the Post Office report. So that we can update our system, you'll need to register your new address with Royal Mail. If you don't do this, you might have difficulties the next time you apply for credit.
To ask Royal Mail to register your new address, send an email to addressmaintenance@royalmail.com. Once you have their confirmation, please send it on to us so that we can update your information more quickly.
How do I link my previous address to my current address?
Linking addresses happens automatically when:
- A lender uses your previous and current address while making a credit search
- Your current lenders move your agreement from your old address to your new one (To be safe, you should get in touch with the lender to ask that they move your account.)
- You apply for a credit report product and give us your new previous addresses.
- Previous-address fraud is one of the most common types of identity theft. Think about subscribing to our Credit Watch Gold service, which lets you know as soon as there are any changes to your credit report, including applications for credit in your name.
